Title: A Shared Room
Genre: Romance
Ship: Jared/Simon
Rating: PG (Pure fluffy Goodness)
Summary: Three drabbles that expanded abit into snapshots, drawn together by location

A/N: Film based, I wrote this with Freddie H in mind, with the assumption that they were at least 12ish or teens. (The cannon age of 9y/o is just too young for slash) I have an idea for a PG-13 that I may write depending on how this is recieved.

The Grace family had just moved into a new residence. Though the house was quite large the Grace twins shared one small bedroom. Jared the rebel and Simon the pacifist, somehow it was perfect.Collapse )

After becoming a newbie fan of the books, (not because of the movie, but because I only just figured out that Holly Black wrote them XD) I thought that I might join up with the resident LJ "Spiderwick" comm.

I'm Myrah :) As of yet, I don't have anything to contribute *hangs head* But I may come bearing fanfic sometime soon.

And..... does ANYBODY have icons they're willing to share? D:

Nice to meet you all in advance!!

I am actually a little upset with the promotion of the film.

I have yet to see it and i am starting to think i am going to be waiting for it on dvd.

On t.v. it said that the film was due out on february 15 when it actually came out on february 14th.

Neopets also stated that the movie was out on the 15 as well as lunchables.

The only places that seemed to have the correct date were the cineplexes, imdb, and the spiderwick website.

I am also a little annoyed that the theaters were not offering midnight showings of the film on february 13th.

Had it been another harry potter film or some other big budget production than a midnight showing would have existed.

The reason given to me by the cineplexes as to why there was no midnight showing was because they assumed the movie, being a nickelodeon  film, was targeting little kids.

That pissed me off.

Those same damn kids are also the ones who saw the midnight showing of harry potter, the golden compass, star wars, etc...

They failed to keep in mind that teens and adults support the midnight showings and are the ones who spend most of their money on going to see these films.

Corporate america sucks.

Hello there, everyone~. I just joined this community, since I love the Spiderwick Chronicles and just saw the movie with a friend...and upon coming back and seeing the sad lack of Spiderwick fanfiction (especially the absence of lack of Jared/Simon slash after Freddie Highmore's lovely portrayal of them in the movie), we decided to write crack. Yeah. So here it is. XDD;;; Beware.

Title: In Which the Grace Brothers Dream of a Waterbed
Genre: Humor/Romance
Pairing: Jared/Simon (implied)
Rating: PG
Summary: Jared and Simon get ready for bed...and Jared gets Simon thinking about what it will be like for them when their dad comes to take them away.
Written by  neko_no_hanashi and eveningsonata

Do any of you lovely folk know where I might find scans of the illustrations of Hogsqueal? I don't have access to a scanner right now, otherwise I'd do them myself, and my google-fu seems to be super bad, lately. Thanks so much, if you can help out!

I was so stoked when i found out Inkworks were creating Spiderwick trading cards.

On saturday i picked up the new issue of Non-Sport because it has a free spiderwick trading card in it and an article about them.

While reading i found out that the trading cards are now canceled.

You can see for yourself at the inkworks website.

I am so upset because they are really cute cards, hopefully they will be able to continue production.

So who's got the newest Spiderwick book? I picked up my copy yesterday and am trying my best to not finish it in one day. It's such a quick read and I don't know when the next book (A Giant Problem) will be out. It's even more beautiful than the previous series, if you can believe it.

I don't think that there have been any links posted to this group (and nothing at all posted in a while, it seems), so I'm going to list the official Spiderwick sites that I know of.

The Spiderwick Chronicles book site
The Spiderwick Chronicles movie site
The Simon & Schuster site (you might be interested in checking out the upcoming publications! January's going to be a busy month for Spiderwick fans)
The International Sprite League
Tony's site
Holly's site

Are you all as excited as I am about the movie? It looks fantastic!

Hey all!

I just joined the community and have been a big fan of The Spiderwick Chronicles for just about two years now. I remember finding the books at my favourite bookstore and having to wait for the fifth book to come out! That seemed to take forever! I've got the Notebook and the Field Guide, which sit proudly on my bookcase next to many similar books such as the Ologies and works by Brian Froud. I've been a fan of Fairy my entire life.

It's been several years since I've written any fanfic, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it. I started a Spiderwick story last year, so I hope to be inspired by this community to finish it. I do plan on contributing other things such as LJ icons, but I don't know if I'll be contributing any artwork yet.

Looking forward to discovering the world around me with all of you!
